Eyebrow transplant: restore your eyebrows with your own hair

An eyebrow transplant moves your own hair, follicle by follicle, to rebuild eyebrows with low density, over-plucked areas, scars or microblading aftereffects. A natural, permanent result, planned with dermatological judgment.

In-person assessment in Guadalajara or by video consultation throughout Mexico.

What is an eyebrow transplant?

It's a microsurgical procedure in which your own follicles are extracted from the nape of the neck and placed in the eyebrow. Because it's your own hair, it grows naturally and the result is permanent.

The key isn't just placing hair: it's respecting the angle, direction and natural density of the eyebrow so the result is indistinguishable from your own. That's why it should be planned and supervised by a dermatologist.

Who is it for?

Not every sparse eyebrow is solved the same way: being a good candidate depends on the density you still have as much as on what caused the loss. These are the cases we assess most often:

  • Over-plucked eyebrows that no longer grow back.
  • Loss of density due to age, genetics or repeated plucking.
  • Scars or hairless areas from trauma or surgery.
  • Aftereffects from microblading and micropigmentation.
  • Asymmetry or a missing eyebrow tail.
  • Stable alopecia areata, assessed beforehand in consultation.

Two techniques, two stages: Long FUE and Oriental

For extraction, Long FUE (long-hair FUE): we take the follicular units one by one from the donor area, with no need to shave. Keeping the hair at full length is what lets us see the direction each follicle grows in — the reference for placing it later.

For insertion, the Oriental technique: before implanting, each follicle is thoroughly cleaned, and that allows it to be placed at an angle almost parallel to the skin, following its natural direction. This is the difference between a brow that reads as grafted and one that doesn't, because eyebrow hair doesn't grow vertically — it lies flat against the face.

It's an outpatient procedure under local anesthesia: no hospital stay, and you go home the same day.

Recovery and results

In the first few days small scabs appear and fall off on their own, and how you wash and protect the area those first weeks shapes the final result. The grafted hair usually sheds within a few weeks (this is normal) and grows back steadily from the third or fourth month.

The full result is visible between 6 and 12 months. Since it's hair, it grows: you'll need to trim and comb it from time to time.

We're with you from start to finish

At the clinic we carry out the complete eyebrow restoration process with personalized follow-up: from design and assessment to the check-ups that support the growth of the grafted hair.

If your eyebrows have previous microblading or micropigmentation, we can also treat you from start to finish: when needed, we remove the pigment with laser to prepare a suitable base before the transplant.

The Oriental technique: why the angle matters more than the follicle count

  • A successful eyebrow transplant isn't about adding hair — it's about how that hair is placed. That is where the Oriental technique comes in.
  • The Oriental technique cleans the follicle thoroughly so it can be implanted almost parallel to the skin: eyebrow hair doesn't grow vertically, it lies flat against the face.
  • The follicles are extracted from your own nape with the Long FUE technique, choosing only those thin enough to pass for eyebrow hair.
  • Minimally invasive, under local anesthesia. The result is permanent and undetectable.

Frequently asked questions

Answering your questions

Is an eyebrow transplant permanent?

Yes. By transplanting your own follicle, the hair establishes permanently and grows naturally. Unlike microblading, which is pigment deposited in the skin and fades over the years, there are no periodic touch-ups here.

How much does an eyebrow transplant cost?

An eyebrow transplant starts at $30,000 MXN. The final price depends on how many follicles are needed and which areas of the eyebrow to treat, and we confirm it at the assessment. Payment plans are available.

How long until I see the final result?

The grafted hair sheds within a few weeks and grows back from the third or fourth month. The full result is visible between 6 and 12 months.

Do grafted eyebrows need trimming?

Yes. Since it's your own hair, it keeps growing, so it's best to trim and comb it from time to time to keep the shape.

Does it work if I already have microblading or micropigmentation?

Yes. We assess the condition of your skin and the pigment in consultation and, when needed, remove the microblading or micropigmentation with laser before the transplant. That way we treat you from start to finish, on a suitable base.

Do you see patients from other Mexican states?

Yes. The initial assessment can be done by video consultation from any state, and the procedure is performed in person at the Guadalajara clinic.

Does it leave a visible scar?

The FUE technique extracts individual follicles, so it doesn't leave a linear scar. Marks in the donor area are tiny dots hidden by your own hair.
